A Conscientious Approach to Production

Our story begins in northern Italy, where for over two decades we have worked closely with a select group of independent shoemakers. These artisans, who share our values, create our shoes in factories that uphold outstanding working conditions, ensuring fair and safe environments for their skilled teams.

We exclusively use ethically sourced leathers, chosen from suppliers who meet rigorous standards for animal welfare and environmental care. We believe that true quality comes from a conscious beginning.

Thoughtful Packaging and Waste Reduction

We are committed to reducing waste and avoiding single-use plastics. Every product you purchase is presented in a fully recyclable shoebox, and your new shoes are protected by their own individual fabric shoe bags. For your convenience, we also provide reusable and sustainable carrier bags for all purchases, ensuring a completely plastic-free experience.

Within our London boutique, we operate a daily recycling program for all store waste, actively minimizing our footprint. This dedication carries through to our deliveries, where all packaging is made from recycled materials. 

Designing for a Lasting Legacy

Our design philosophy is rooted in longevity - a testament to the enduring style and quality we strive for. We create pieces that are not just fashionable but built to last, encouraging a mindful move away from fast fashion. To honour this commitment, we offer a dedicated repair service for our shoes. We believe a well-loved pair of Eliot Zed shoes deserves a second life, a belief that is at the heart of our circular approach.

Minimizing Our Carbon Footprint

As a family business, we take a strategic and personal approach to reducing our environmental impact. We consciously limit all non-essential travel, mostly communicating with our Italian partners via telephone or online methods to reduce emissions. When it comes to logistics, our restock orders are sent in large bulk to ensure minimal transport. We also limit deliveries to and from our warehouse to just twice a week, and when your order is ready, we partner with a low-emission courier service to ensure it arrives as responsibly as possible.

In our stores, we prioritize energy efficiency. We use LED lighting and most store lights are switched off promptly at 6pm every day to ensure minimal energy waste.

Our Natural Approach to Grounds

Our commitment to the environment is even reflected in our physical spaces. The garden areas at our store is maintained using natural methods only, free from chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. We believe in nurturing beautiful, healthy spaces that are in harmony with nature.
